Intimidating little ledge with big exposure. It doesn't look too bad but when you try to cross you will find the wall bulges and pushes you toward the edge.

Dominic on top of Fensterfels. The top of Bindersbacher Turm is right behind him.

Dominic at the bottom of an old staircase that was carved into the soft sandstone during the middle ages. Most of the towers in the area were used as foundations for small castles!

My turn to get laughed at.

Through the Fenster.

Dominic stems between Bindersbacher Turm (left) and Fensterfels (right). This is the start of the standard route, or Normalweg, on Fensterfels. It continues THROUGH a bored out window in the wall up above! Local guidebooks give this route a rating of 1 (or 5.1) and that felt about right to us.
