To Teresa's dismay, when the southwest ridge gnarls up we decide to check out a steep gully on the north side of the ridge. It works like a charm. Harrower Peak is in the background.

After hiking the trail to Indian Pass in the dark (hard to follow in places) we descend Knife Point Glacier toward UN 13,198.
