A pleasant loop over three summits

Looking down at a Brocken spectre, an optical effect caused when a person casts their shadow on clouds or fog.
Dwight and Kevin scrambling along the steep, loose rock on Middle Peak's southwest ridge.
It was a windy day and the rocks were covered with interesting hoar frost.
Loose 4th class snow-covered rock forced us down from the ridge crest. We climbed down one gully and up another to get around the difficult section.
Dwight and Kevin nearing the top of the gully we used to climb back up to the ridge.
Dwight regaining the ridge crest.
More difficult terrain forced us left into another snow-filled gully. We used it to bypass a tricky section and then regained the ridge one last time.
Kevin and Dwight working their way up the final gully.
The remainder of the ridge to Middle Peak was a piece of cake.

Wilson Peak, Gladstone Peak, El Diente Peak and Mount Wilson made an appearance from behind the clouds as we neared the summit of Dolores Peak.
